My name is Samuel Rosen, and my journey into the Hatton Garden jewellery trade began over ten years ago, inspired by my grandfather, Howard Woolf. He first encouraged me to visit Hatton Garden for a short-term work experience with one of his closest friends, Alan Gard, a highly respected and successful jeweller of his time. This experience proved to be a defining moment for me— I was introduced to a world that opened my eyes and immediately captured my attention and ignited a lasting passion for the craft.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of businesses, each specialising in different areas of the jewellery world, allowing me to build a well-rounded and in-depth understanding of the trade.
From a young age, I have always been fascinated by how things are invented, designed and made. This curiosity for design and craftsmanship naturally shaped the way and ultimately led me to jewellery, where creativity and precision come together. That lifelong interest continues to influence my approach today, driving me to create pieces that are thoughtfully and proudfully designed and meticulously crafted.
